WIP Wednesday

Okay, it's long past time for an update to the WIP list.  I feel like I have been accomplishing things lately, but it's also all over the board.  Some mending, finished a jumper for my daughter that's been cut out for months, that sort of thing.  More cross-stitching, some swap work.  So here goes: Recent Completions!! Back at the Bakeshop!

Back at the Bakeshop again this week! This was a fun project to put together, and although I had extreme trepidations about the color combination, I love how it turned out.  I think there are lots of fun options for this design - I would love to see it with the Zen Chic modern backgrounds, or in all solids.  One of my favorite things about quilting is how one design can look so totally different, depending on fabric choices and placements. I've been making progress on other things as well, although I've obviously stunk about getting any progress posted here.  I finished a top for my stepson, and it's off at the quilters. It uses the aforementioned Zen Chic modern backgrounds, both ink and paper.  It's Chevron News.  I usually try to stay away from using the exact fabrics called for in a pattern, but I just loved how this one looked, so I went with it.  I did add borders to take it up to queen size; I can't wait to see how this one turns out. ...
